The first step in building your new home requires you to understand the types of home you can build. Here at Luxtra Homes, we are not a volume builder, and as such can tailor floorplans to specific family requirements.

Investment Home

A home designed by Luxtra Homes for a particular parcel of land, be it standard or irregular. These homes are intended for sale and so often advertised as a House & Land Package or a home ready to move into, called a Turnkey Home.

Standard Plan

For convenience, we have a range of standard floorplans customers can select from if they wish, however, these can also be altered, ultimately becoming semi-customised floorplans. You have the option of colour selection and choosing fixtures and fittings.

Custom Home

These are homes where you are involved in most stages of the design. From the architectural sketch to choosing fixtures, fittings and selecting colours, your input will be vital at all times. This truly unique design, drafted and brought to life by our boutique architects and designers will be personalised by you, for you.

What is the Best Option for Me?

In the end, most options of home provide you with some degree of input, but it depends on how involved you wish to be for your home. For most families, a standard plan which has been ‘tried and tested’ works, and they simply wish to personalise the aesthetic aspects. But for the family who wants a hand on the wheel at all times, the custom home option is the most gratifying.
